Wiatm, I wanted to ask about the side effects of the drug pylera for helicobacter. For 2 days I have been having a lot of stomach pain after administering a dose of the drug (3 tablets) and I have 12 tablets left to choose from. Can such symptoms occur after such a time ? and how to manage it? stop the drug ? On top of that, intestinal pain and constipation began. Or is there only a visit to the doctor?

Side effects can occur at any stage of drug use, including at the end of its use or even after its completion. Each body reacts differently to treatment. Unfortunately, gastrointestinal side effects such as abdominal pain and constipation are common (in ≥1/100 to <1/10 patients). In addition, these side effects may persist for some time after discontinuation of the drug despite the end of therapy.

As a general rule, it is important to complete the full course of treatment. If it is interrupted early, the infection may not be fully cured, and the symptoms of infection may recur or worsen . According to the manufacturer's information, however, among the ailments that require discontinuation of the drug and immediate notification of the doctor, there are , m.in, abdominal pain (full list: abdominal pain, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, fever, malaise, fatigue, jaundice, dark urine, dark stool or itching). If you experience any of the symptoms, follow the recommendations.

If necessary, you can make an appointment with a doctor, e.g. here:

Side effects should also be reported individually, how and why to do so are described here:
