Polsart does not belong to the group of anticoagulants ("thinners" of the blood). The preparation contains telmisartan, which inhibits the action of angiotensin II (a substance that causes blood vessels to contract), which leads to a decrease in blood pressure.
Anticoagulant effects are shown by preparations containing e.g. acetylsalicylic acid (e.g. Polocard or Acard), hepartins, rivaroxaban.
