Good morning
I've been taking Elestar 40mg + 10mg for a week now. After a few days, undesirable effects appeared, i.e. problems with vision (blurred vision), dizziness (especially when standing up) and erection problems. Are these symptoms that will pass after the body gets used to the drug, or should I stop taking the drug and see a doctor? The appointment is scheduled in 2 weeks and I don't know what I should do.

All of these ailments, i.e. visual disturbances (blurred vision), dizziness and erection problems, may result from the use of Elestar HCT 40 mg + 10 mg. Their occurrence should be reported to your doctor, who, having full information about your clinical condition, the course of the disease and other medications used, will recommend appropriate therapeutic treatment, e.g. dose modification or change to another drug that you will better tolerate.
Unfortunately, each body reacts differently to medications, it is difficult to determine whether the observed ailments will definitely disappear. Dizziness should usually disappear after a few days, the body is just getting used to the drug used. You should observe your body until the next visit to the doctor. However, if you notice an intensification of the ailment in the meantime, you should immediately consult a specialist.
Please remember not to stop taking the drug on your own. It is advisable to consult a doctor beforehand. At the same time, please bear in mind that dizziness and visual disturbances can make driving difficult, so be careful and give up driving if there is no such need.

Observed side effects should be reported not only to the doctor, but also to the individual. We wrote about how and why to report side effects in the article:
