Smecta weakens the effect of drugs (interferes with their absorption - similar to activated charcoal), therefore it should not be used concomitantly with any other medicinal product. A significant time interval between subsequent doses of drugs should be maintained. Smecta can be taken 3-4 hours after or before taking the contraceptive pill. If very severe diarrhoea occurs, consider taking an additional tablet after the symptoms have resolved. During the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, it is worth using probiotics and electrolytes.
