I was late with putting on the new album after a week's break by 5.5 hours. Is the protection maintained or should I take additional protection for the next week?

A new ring should be inserted exactly after a week's break (on the same day of the week as usual and at about the same time), and if the ring is delayed by more than 3 hours, the contraceptive effectiveness of the ring may be reduced. If you are 5 hours late, the risk of pregnancy probably does not increase significantly, but according to the manufacturers' recommendations, it is worth using additional protection (e.g. condoms) for the first 7 days of the new cycle.
