If the beta-hCG level was determined after at least 7 days from the last unprotected intercourse, the result can be considered reliable and indicates no pregnancy.
Levels of the hormone beta-hCG can fluctuate. However, in non-pregnant women, it does not exceed 5 mIU/ml.
