The drug was withdrawn from the market by decision of the Chief Pharmaceutical Inspectorate:

On 21 May 2024, the Chief Pharmaceutical Inspector decided to withdraw from the market and ban the nationwide marketing of the medicinal product Palifren Long, Paliperidonum, 150 mg, extended-release suspension for injection in a pre-filled syringe, pack of 1 amp.-teat. 150 mg + 2 needles, GTIN 05900411009058, for the following series: batch number: 4201120, expiry date: 12.2024; batch number: 4300099, expiry date: 05.2025; batch number: 4201591, expiry date: 04.2025; Marketing authorisation holder: Adamed Pharma S.A. with its registered office in Pieńków, marketing authorisation: 27165. This product does not meet the quality requirements due to a negative test result in terms of paliperidone palmitate content and particle size analysis. Patients are asked to discontinue the product.
