Tomorrow I have a blood test with my son. She is terrified of it, so I asked the doctor to prescribe something that would help us. It was a long time ago and I don't remember the dosage.

It is highly likely that the solution you have at home is no longer suitable for consumption.
After first opening the bottle, the Hydroxyzinum VP 2mg/m solution is valid for 48 days.
Administration of an expired drug may pose a threat to the child's health, hence such a practice is not recommended.
If you have a new bottle of medicine that has not been opened or less than 48 days have passed since opening, you can give it to your child as prescribed by your doctor. Then the recommended dose for a child weighing about 40 kg is 8-10 ml of syrup about an hour before the test.
