Good morning
I've been taking Brintellix 5 mg for 7 weeks now, I was taking Preato in a dose of 2 x 75 mg but due to numerous side effects the doctor recommended to discontinue Preato. I left the same brintellix in a 5 mg gawk. Your GP will recommend that you take cloranxen 5 mg for a month. so that the body calms down. I know it's a benzodiazepine. But the doctor says it's one of the mildest, and if you don't increase the dose and don't use it for a long time, it's safe. I wonder if it's worth going for it?

It all depends on what ailments you are experiencing, what their current severity is and how you feel on Brintellix itself.
The combination of Brintellix and Cloranxen is acceptable and can be used - there are no clinically significant interactions between these drugs.
If necessary, Cloranxen therapy should be as short as possible at the lowest effective dose. More here:
If you are not sure whether you need to take Cloranxen, you may want to talk to your psychiatrist.
According to the manufacturer of Cloranxen: "The duration of treatment should be as short as possible and should not exceed 4 weeks, including the dose reduction period. The patient should be monitored regularly during treatment for possible dose or frequency reduction. Due to the potential for withdrawal symptoms, the medicinal product should be discontinued with caution and the daily dose should be gradually reduced."
Studies show that in many cases, adding benzodiazepines to other medications has beneficial effects; The main advantages in the clinical use of benzodiazepines are: high efficacy, rapid onset of action and low toxicity. If the therapy is carried out in low doses and lasts up to 4 weeks, it is considered safe and the risk of developing addiction is low.
