Can a bacterial intimate infection cause more intense symptoms during ovulation?

Good morning
Is it possible that during ovulation, my bacterial intimate infection may be more intense? I'll just add that I'm currently taking an antibiotic for a bacterial vaginal infection on the 5th day and I have the impression that I feel the symptoms a little more (itching, burning vagina). I had a swab done before the treatment and it was confirmed that I had an intimate infection caused by oxygen bacteria.

During ovulation, the consistency of mucus within the genital tract changes, while the coincidence of the situation can also be coincidental - in short, the treatment does not have the effect of withdrawing the symptoms. If you experience increased discomfort, it is worth seeing a doctor (especially if the symptoms do not disappear after ovulation and after the end of the treatment).

In case of any doubts, I encourage you to use the teleconsultation with a gynaecologist - the service is available on our website in the e-visit tab:
