Vydura (Rimegepant) is an anti-migraine drug from the group of calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor antagonists. CGRP is a neuropeptide associated with migraine processes, and drugs that block its action are used to treat migraines.
Vydura is used to treat acute migraine episodes in adults. It works by blocking the CGRP receptor, which helps to alleviate migraine symptoms. According to research, Vydura reduces the number of migraines by at least 50%. It is not a drug dedicated to digestive migraines. Please remember that in the case of migraine, the treatment is always tailored to the patient's needs. On the other hand, the form of taking the drug - lyophilisate soluble on or under the tongue, does not increase vomiting. This avoids the risk of vomiting the medication you have taken.
If you have a migraine, it is always important to consult with a doctor who can assess the patient's individual health situation and tailor treatment as needed. If you do not have the opportunity to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here:
