A single double dose of an antibiotic does not pose a threat to health and life. On the other hand, there is an increased chance that gastrointestinal disorders may occur, m.in. vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain.
Keep an eye on your child and ensure an increased supply of water (at least 2 litres of water/day).
The next dose should be given after 12 hours in the case of antibiotics and it is very important to keep the concentration of the drug in the blood at a constant level that has a specific therapeutic effect.
