Can anything happen to me if I took a double dose of Escitalopram?

Hello!
By mistake I have been taking escitalopram for a week now 40 mg (!), the maximum dosage is only 20... Just discovered this error, going back to 20mg as prescribed by the doctor. But is it scary? Could I have hurt myself? Thank you!

Taking a double dose of the drug significantly increases the risk of side effects. However, if you have not observed any alarming symptoms while taking high doses of the drug, there is no reason to worry. You should go back to the dosage you agreed with your doctor as soon as possible.
