Tolerability of Ketrel varies from person to person and depends, m.in on the duration of treatment.
If the drug is used to treat depression and you have suicidal thoughts, you should seek medical help immediately.
There may be exacerbations in the initial phase of treatment, as all antidepressants usually take two weeks to start working, sometimes later. According to the package leaflet for Ketrel: "If you ever have suicidal thoughts or thoughts of harming yourself, contact your doctor or go to hospital immediately. It may be helpful to tell relatives or friends about depression and ask them to read this leaflet.
They can also be asked to tell the patient if they notice an increase in their depressive symptoms or other worrying changes in behaviour." People under the age of 25 are at increased risk of suicidal ideation.
