Hello, I've already had a couple of alcoholic epileptics, the last one three days ago after giving up alcohol, I finally took care of myself and went to the doctor. Today I took the first tablet of Neurotope and hydroxyzinum. Is it an effective drug? I'm afraid I'm going to have another seizure if I don't drink %%

In alcoholic epilepsy, antiepileptic preparations are used (such as the Neurotrop ordered by you). Hydroxyzine is a sedative and anxiolytic. I suppose it's supposed to calm you down. Each of the drugs available on the market has proven effectiveness in specific medical conditions, but only when you take the prescribed medications will it be possible to assess how effective they are specifically for you.
Treatment of alcoholic epilepsy requires abstinence. Going back to drinking will only make things worse – excessive alcohol consumption increases the risk of seizures, and alcohol interacts with medications. The effects of alcoholic epilepsy can be very dangerous – so it's best to follow your doctor's instructions closely and not take any amounts of alcohol. If persevering in sobriety is difficult for you, it is worth seeking specialist help:
