Can Ovestin be used to rebuild bacterial flora after an antibiotic?
I've been taking ovestin for two months, in the meantime I was taking the antibiotic Makromax, which destroyed my vaginal bacterial flora, will ovestin cure vaginal discharge or should I stop using it and get iliadan or zonelle?

The use of Ovestin alone may not be enough. The drug acts on the changes caused by the decrease in the level of sex hormones, does not affect (or only indirectly) the bacterial flora of the vagina.
According to the drug's manufacturer:
"In the case of atrophic lesions of the lower genitourinary tract, estriol normalizes the epithelium of the genitourinary tract and helps to restore normal microflora and physiological vaginal pH. As a result, the resistance of urogenital epithelial cells to vaginal infections and inflammatory processes such as dyspareunia, vaginal dryness, pruritus, genitourinary infection, urination disorders and mild urinary incontinence increases."
