Such a combination should be used with great caution.
Fluoxetin may increase the effects of tianeptine, the active substance in Coaxil. This is often deliberate, but in some cases it is advisable to reduce the dose of tianeptine to as low as 1/4. Modification of the dosage of medications should be made after consultation with a doctor and according to what the specialist has determined.
Please observe your body and report any side effects to your doctor.
"Combination therapy requires regular monitoring of potential side effects (m.in. dry mouth, excessive sleepiness, confusion). It should be remembered that the biological half-life of the active metabolite of fluoxetine is 7 to 15 days, therefore this interaction may continue to develop even after discontinuation."
