This is not too high a dose.
Amotaks, which contains amoxicillin, is given based on the patient's body weight. For children weighing less than 40 kg, the usual recommended dose is between 40 mg and 90 mg for each kilogram of body weight, given in 2 to 3 divided doses. The maximum recommended dose should not exceed 100 mg amoxicillin per kilogram of body weight per day:

Thus, with a body weight of 10.9 kg, the maximum dose per day is 10.9 ml suspension. Your child will take 7 ml of suspension per day.
Use Amotaks exactly as your doctor has told you for the duration of your treatment. Do not shorten or extend the duration of antibiotic therapy on your own.
