Can Augmentin weaken the contraceptive effect of Qlaira?

I'm taking qlaira tablets. The doctor prescribed me augumentin for 10 days. Will the antibiotic weaken the effect of qlaira tablets?

Unfortunately, there is such a risk. The amoxicillin in the antibiotic can cause a weakening of estradiol, which is an ingredient in contraception.

For the duration of taking the antibiotic and 10 days after its completion, it is advisable to use an additional form of contraception, e.g. in the form of a condom.
