Good morning. Mum has the lowest dose Transtec patch attached. He has an elevated body temperature (37.5 ). In the leaflet he writes that in case of fever the plaster should be peeled off. Should I peel it off at the temperature it has?

No, there is no need to do so in this situation. By definition, a fever is considered to be a body temperature above 38.0 °C. A range of 37.1–38.0 °C is known as a low-grade fever.
According to the Summary of Product Characteristics: "Fever or high ambient temperature (e.g. heat wave) may increase the penetration of the drug through the skin. Theoretically, in such cases, serum buprenorphine concentrations may be increased with Transtec. Therefore, consideration should be given to the potential for potentiation of the product in patients with fever or otherwise increased skin temperature." Fever is therefore not an absolute contradiction to the use of Transtec patches.
If you have an elevated body temperature if you are wearing Transtec, it is recommended that you consult your doctor. It is also important to monitor body temperature and changes in body temperature, especially when the person wearing the Transtec patch experiences an elevated temperature. If additional symptoms appear, it may be necessary to consult a doctor for further evaluation and management of the situation. If you are not able to take advantage of the advice, I am attaching a link to the online teleconsultation, e.g. via the Gdziepolek.pl portal:
