Can Scopolan Compositum be used for reflux and suspected ulcerative colitis?
Hello can I take scopolan compositum as I have reflux and suspected ulcerative colitis. I have painful cramps several times a day followed by gas. Will scopolan compositum help? :(

There are no absolute contraindications to the use of this drug, however, caution must be exercised.
Scopolan Compositum should be used with caution in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease, ulcerative colitis, gastric ulcers.
If reflux or bowel problems worsen, the treatment should be discontinued.
Perhaps a safer option would be to take a simeticone-based medication that relieves bloating and removes gas buildup, while being safe for patients with acid reflux and suspected ulcerative colitis.
