After consuming a small dose of galinstane, you should not get poisoned, but I still suggest consulting a doctor.
The mercury-free thermometer is an alternative to mercury glass thermometers, which were withdrawn from production and sale in 2009 due to the harmful element to health and the environment.
The substance was replaced by a liquid alloy of indium, gallium and tin – non-toxic galinstane.
