This is a negative test result.
However, in order to completely rule out pregnancies, a blood test can be performed in a laboratory. Beta hCG (chorionic gonadotropin beta subunit) can confirm pregnancy 6-10 days after fertilization. The biological role of the hormone during pregnancy is to maintain the corpus luteum as well as regulate the production of steroid hormones in the fetus.
