If Frimig Duo and Dutilox have been prescribed by the same doctor, the physician should follow the prescribed dosing regimen with extreme caution and be aware of any symptoms that may indicate an interaction between the medicines used.
The concomitant use of sumatriptan contained in Frimig Duo and duloxetine (Dutilox) may lead to an excessive increase in the concentration of serotonin in the brain, which may lead to the occurrence of the so-called serotonin syndrome, which may manifest itself, m.in, as vomiting, increased blood pressure, dizziness, fever or hallucinations.
In addition, the concomitant use of duloxetine (Dutilox) and naproxen, an ingredient of Frimig Duo, may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding, especially in people with peptic ulcer disease. Symptoms of this interaction may include nausea, vomiting, epigastric discomfort, diarrhea or tarry stools.
If you experience any of these symptoms, contact your doctor immediately and he or she will decide whether you can continue your treatment.
