Unfortunately, in patients taking quetiapine (Quetaplex), weight gain was found. This should be monitored and clinically appropriately stopped in accordance with antipsychotic guidelines.

The doctor certainly has knowledge in this subject.
The summary of product characteristics indicates that weight gain occurs in adult patients mainly during the first weeks of treatment in adult patients. Longer clinical studies indicate that the average weight gain was 2.39 kg.

Therefore, I suggest monitoring your body weight and possibly consulting a psychodietitian who will help eliminate the side effects of the drug used. Of course, please do this in consultation with your doctor.

I also encourage you to take advantage of teleconsultation with a dietitian: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja
