Will I have to remove the IUD if I have been spotting for 24 days?

On September 2, I had a mirene insert on. I had my period. After 4 days I thought it was over and here all the time bleeding or 24 days. It is not a heavy period, but I wear the insert all the time. Is this normal?I have a visit to the gynecologist on Tuesday but I'm looking for hints. Will I have to remove the insert?

I put the insole on in May in 3dc
After a period of 4 days, then brown spotting, red spotting and probably a period, after that again the spotting lasted for 25 days. Then in about 20 days again a period of 7 days and spotting 7 days. The next cycle has a longer break of 30 days and again 7 days of bleeding and spotting. I'm waiting for it to normalize. Apparently, up to 6 months this is the case.

After putting on Mirena, bleeding or minor spotting may occur. Some women may experience irregular bleeding, intertemporal bleeding or even prolonged periods after inserting a Mirena IUD. This phenomenon is relatively common in the first months of use and usually gradually decreases over time. Most often, spotting occurs in the first cycle after its application and disappears spontaneously.

In case of doubt, I encourage you to consult your doctor again. It is the doctor who decides on the possible treatment of the patient and only he can decide to remove the IUD.
