Prostamol Uno is a medicine containing saw palmetto extract that relieves symptoms associated with prostate hyperplasia occurring when urinating. Saw palmetto extract may increase testosterone levels in the body and reduce DHT (5-alphadihydrotestosterone) levels by inhibiting the enzyme 5-alphareductase. In this way, it has antiandrogenic activity (m.in. reducing androgenetic alopecia). The preparation should not be used, m.in. in women using hormonal contraception due to its anti-estrogenic effect.
Transgender people, due to the frequent use of hormone therapy, should consult their doctor before using Prostamol Uno. The doctor will determine whether the use of the preparation is justified in a given case. The effect of the preparation on the body is temporary, after the end of the treatment it does not cause long-lasting effects, and the first effects are visible after about 5-6 weeks of regular use of the drug.
This leaflet describes the side effects reported so far with Prostamol uno and their frequency. The incidence of adverse reactions has not been distinguished between m.in transgender people.
Prostamol Uno is an over-the-counter medicine and is available in the offer of online and stationary pharmacy. Choosing the offer of an online pharmacy allows you to compare prices and order the preparation with home delivery or personal collection at the pharmacy:
