Good morning Today on prescription I bought detreomycin 2%, the man in the pharmacy said that after smearing this ointment I can not go out in the sun, eat dairy products and protein. He wants to know if what he said is true, because he doesn't write anywhere on the flyer.

I advise against sunbathing when using Detreomycin ointment 2%. A common side effect of this medicine is local skin irritation, inflammation and allergic reactions. In addition, a significant part of antibiotics causes skin sensitization to UV rays, which in turn may contribute to photosensitization changes. If you need to be outside, use creams with a maximum filter, remembering to reapply every 2-3 hours. I have not found well-established indications indicating the risk of interaction of Detreomycin ointment with high-protein products. On our website you can check the availability of the drug and make a reservation at the pharmacy: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/23110/detreomycyna-2-masc/apteki I encourage you to read: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/fakty-i-mity-o-antybiotykach
