As I understand it, you are asking about the dose. 2.4 mg is the dose of how much medicine the pen is injecting into the body. 3.0 mg is 0.6 mg more. A higher dose means that the medicine may have a stronger effect, sometimes with increasing the dose may - but may not - appear or worsen side effects of the medicine. 3.0 mg a day is the maximum dose Saxenda you can take. The drug is supposed to promote weight loss - in combination with diet and exercise in obese or overweight people and risk factors. The preparation should cause a loss of at least 5% of body weight within 12 weeks of the drug at a dose of 3.0 mg per day. On the other hand, losing weight too quickly may not be beneficial - the rate of weight loss is best discussed with your doctor, similarly if there are doubts about the effectiveness of the treatment. I enclose additional information about Saxenda: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/88452/saxenda-iniekcja/apteki and our studies that may be helpful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/otylosc-i-nadwaga
