Can Asentra cause joint pain?
19.99 zł

Hello, my 14-year-old daughter is taking Asentra for anxiety disorders. First it was a dose of 50mg, it was ok, gradually increased to 75 mg and for two weeks it is a dose of 100 mg and the problem began. For some 4 days he has quite severe pain in the joints, wrists, elbows, shoulder knee, even joints in the fingers of his hands. Could it be a side effect of using the drug, increasing the dose? Two years ago, the daughter was already taking this drug, even for a long time, but only in a dose of 50 mg and there were never such ailments.

Joint pain is a common side effect of Asentra - it affects up to 1 in 10 people using the drug. The risk of side effects increases with increasing the dose of the drug, so it is possible that joint pain did not occur until the dose was increased. Usually, side effects disappear spontaneously within a few weeks, but it is worth reporting it to your doctor, especially if the pain hinders everyday functioning. Reporting side effects allows you to gather more information about the safety of medicines and update data about them, which can help other patients in the future. We wrote about how to report them here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane Side effects of drugs can also be reported individually: https://www.urpl.gov.pl/pl/produkty-lecznicze/monitorowanie-bezpieczeństwa-leków/zg elk-side-effect-0 I enclose the leaflet of the drug: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/7628/asentra-tabletki-powlekane/ulotka
