Is it possible to sunbathe while taking Duphaston?
Good morning, I have an inquiry about the drug Duphaston and sunbathing. Is it possible to stay in strong sun while taking it (to induce menstruation)? This is important because I do not want to stop taking it earlier and have potential bleeding during the trip. In addition, after NSAIDs in recent years, I had severe allergic reactions after being in the sun.

Duphaston (dydrogesterone) is not known for its photosensitizing properties. Photosensitizing substances are those that can cause skin reactions such as sunburn or skin lesions when exposed to sunlight or UV light. Dydrogesterone is a synthetic progestogen used in the treatment of various gynecological diseases, such as irregular menstrual bleeding, corpus luteum insufficiency, premenstrual syndrome, or luteal support in replacement therapy. When in the sun, however, please remember to use UV filters.
