Can I use Phlegamine syrup or marshmallow syrup together with an antibiotic with amoxicillin in a child?

Hello, My son has a change in his lung, he was given an antibiotic amoxicilline for 5 days and then the cough returned. The doctor prescribed amoxiciline for another 7 days. For 2 days the son has a tiring cough at which he coughs up huge amounts of white mucus. I wonder if phlegamine or Orthodox syrup would be advisable. I do not know if these syrups can be combined with an antibiotic.
