Hello. Yesterday around 8 o'clock I took the first tablet of mesopral 40mg. After 2 p.m. my head started to hurt, then it was only worse. Chills, strong choking cough and pus flowing from the throat and dry throat. In the evening I took a lot of paracetamol, now it is 9 am, another day and these symptoms are gone, there is severe fatigue. The question is, could this drug have had an effect on such symptoms?

These symptoms may be a reaction of hypersensitivity to the use of Mesopral. The fever and accompanying headache have been described as rare side effects of this medicine. The observed side effect should be reported to the doctor, most likely it will be necessary to stop taking the drug.
