What is the shelf life of powders shared with ephedrine?

How long can ephedrine powder be stored from the moment it is prepared by the pharmacist? Is it still effective three months after the preparation of the powder? And safe for a three-year-old child

The shelf life of the prescription drug for powders shared with ephedrine is determined as a maximum of 1 month when stored in a moisture-resistant package in a dry place and room temperature. Durability is counted from the moment the pharmacist takes the drug. The date of execution of the drug should be specified on the attached signature. After this time, the preparation should be disposed of in accordance with applicable regulations, as we wrote here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-gdzie-wyrzucac-leki Do not administer the drug after the expiry date due to, for example, the possibility of decomposition of the active substance. If it is necessary to repeat the treatment in a child, after 3 months, I encourage you to consult a doctor. Your doctor will assess whether it is necessary to repeat the powders. If it is not possible to visit a stationary visit, I encourage you to take advantage of the teleadvice offered, m.in. by the Gdziepolek.pl portal: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja/z-pediatra We wrote more about prescription drugs in the article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/leki-recepturowe-robione-w-aptece
