Can I breastfeed with Fluxemed?

I have depressive disorders, thoughts s., anxiety, tearfulness several times a day. The doctor prescribed me Fluxemed. If I have a morning dose, can I breastfeed at night? Do I have to give up breastfeeding completely?

Fluoxetine (the active ingredient in Fluxemed) is excreted in breast milk in low/moderate amounts, but to a greater extent than other antidepressants of the same class (SSRIs). Therefore, in breastfeeding women, the use of other antidepressants is usually preferred. If you have not informed your doctor about breastfeeding, you should repeat the consultation so that the doctor can choose the best treatment option, choose the dosage and help you determine the most appropriate time for breastfeeding.
