Is it normal for Topiramate to cause insomnia?

Because of my migraines, I only take three days of Topiromat 25mg in the evening. I have trouble falling asleep, if it goes on like this, I will finish to the end. During the day I feel very good, rather in the head relaxation. How to cope with getting enough sleep, maybe change the time of taking the tablet? Will this change over time? Thank you

Topiramate is an antiepileptic drug mainly used to treat epilepsy. It is also used in the treatment of migraine and in the treatment of certain mental disorders, such as bipolar disorder. Topiramate can have various side effects, and one of them is sleep disorder or insomnia. However, this is not a common side effect of this drug. Some patients may experience difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep while using topiramate, while others may not experience any sleep problems. If such action of the drug prevents you from comfortable functioning during the day - I encourage you to contact your doctor. You may need to change your medication. However, please do not stop the preparation without consulting a specialist.
