Good morning, and has anyone heard about the fact that after putting on the insert appeared stubble on the chin? I have more hairs than family genetics would indicate. In my family, no woman had facial hair, a mustache or a beard... so I'm starting to wonder... This is the second, in 1 case absolutely nothing happened

Male hair in women (hirsutism) is one of the uncommon side effects of contraceptive devices. Levonorgestrel contained in the inserts, as an agonist of androgen receptors, may cause, m.in excessive hair growth or acne intensification. The observed side effect should be reported to the doctor, who on this basis may decide to change the method of contraception, e.g. to a preparation with ethinyl estradiol, which reduces the symptoms of hyperandrogenism. In addition, reporting side effects allows you to gather more information about the safety of medicines and update data about them, which may help other patients in the future. We wrote about how to report them here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane Adverse drug reactions can also be reported individually: https://www.urpl.gov.pl/pl/produkty-lecznicze/monitorowanie-bezpieczeństwa-leków/zg elk-side-effect-0 I send links to materials that may be helpful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/wkladki-domaciczne https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czy-bac-sie-dzialan-niepozadanych-lekow
