Is the deterioration of the skin condition after the end of Axotret treatment a cause for concern?

Good morning, two weeks ago I finished the treatment with Axotret and I begin to notice that the skin is oily again, produces an excessive amount of sebum (especially around the nose) and new blackheads are formed, and small purulent pimples on the face and also on the stomach. Should I start worrying and go to see a dermatologist or is it the body's reaction to the end of the treatment and will it pass after some time?

If you notice a deterioration of the skin condition after the end of Axotret treatment, it is worth consulting a dermatologist. Side effects after the end of treatment with isotretinoin (the active ingredient of Axotret) are rare, and excessive sebum secretion and the formation of blackheads and pimples may suggest a recurrence of acne. It is also worth being aware that changing your diet or care habits can affect the condition of your skin. Too fatty food and air pollution can also affect the appearance of blackheads and pimples. If you have any doubts, it is worth consulting a dermatologist to get treatment tailored to your current clinical condition. If you are unable to get to your doctor, the GdziePoLek.pl service also allows you to obtain a teleconsultation with a doctor: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja The GdziePoLek.pl service also allows you to book a medicine in the nearest stationary pharmacy and pick up after presenting a prescription: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/8353/axotret-kapsulki/apteki
