How does Fevarin affect fertility?
The husband uses fevarin for intrusive thoughts and deep depression for 5 months at a dose of 4 tabl per day or 200 mg, we are trying for a child and there is no possibility to stop the drug due to intrusive thoughts, please advise if it is safe to take this drug during fertilization and it will not affect the development of the child? Animal studies have shown that fluvoxamine (the active substance in Fevarin) reduces sperm quality. Theoretically, this could affect fertility, but no effects on human fertility have been observed so far. If you are trying for a child, I encourage you to consult your doctor. Your doctor may recommend appropriate measures (such as additional supplementation) that can ensure proper sperm quality and facilitate conception of a child.
