Caution should be exercised when taking Glucophage XR 1000mg and preparations from the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (i.e. aspirin, polopyrine, ibuprom), because this combination may impair kidney function. In case of fever, I suggest using paracetamol.
