Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological conditions. Around 50 million people worldwide suffer from epilepsy. It is estimated that around 3 million people in Poland have had or will have at least one epileptic seizure. Unfortunately, about 20% of patients, despite significant progress of pharmacotherapy, have drug resistance, that is, a lack of response to treatment.
