Is it reasonable to give an antibiotic if the doctor has recommended it for high fever and wet cough?

A child (2 years 9 months) got Amoksiklav on a control visit, and within two consecutive nights there was a "nowhere" high temperature (over 39 and over 38 degrees). After administration of ibuprofen, the fever would drop and the child would sleep through the night. Is it reasonable to administer an antibiotic? The child takes Berodual and Pulmicort. In addition, erdomed was added to the last visit because there is a persistent, wet cough.

The need for antibiotics should be decided by the doctor after a thorough examination of the child. If you have doubts whether an antibiotic is justified in a given case, it is worth consulting your concerns with your doctor. We do not have information on the basis of which we can determine whether the child has a bacterial infection that requires antibiotic treatment.
