Rybelsus is available in dosages of 3mg, 7mg and 14mg. Due to the lack of studies on taking, for example, two 7mg tablets to reach the 14mg dose, this procedure is not recommended. It may affect the pharmacokinetics (i.e. absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination) of the drug, leading to the lack of the expected therapeutic effect. You take a dose of 14mg, 4x3mg gives a total daily dose of 12mg, this is a lower dose than previously used in therapy. Reducing the daily dose of the drug, and taking tablets in a different dose than ordered may affect the fate of the drug in the body and cause a lack of effectiveness of treatment, this is not recommended.
