Are 24+4 tablets more effective than 21+7 tablets?

Hi I have a question whether it is that the contraceptive pills have 7 placebo pills are me effective pills than those who have 4 placebo tablets? Why do some tablets have 7 placebo tablets and others 4? And the question is which more protect, prevent pregnancy?

To @Anna: Yes, you can shorten the duration of your use of Vibin Mini placebo tablets once to postpone your withdrawal bleeding to another day of the week. However, the shorter the duration of placebo tablets, the more likely it is that you will not experience withdrawal bleeding and that you will experience cyclic bleeding or spotting while taking the tablets from the next blister.

And if I take vibin mini contraceptive pills and there is a 21 + 7 regimen, can I do so that I will take 21 active pills and then only two placebo tablets and then I will start a new package immediately after these two placebo pills?

Both 21+7 and 24+4 birth control pills are effective in preventing pregnancy. The difference is that in the first case we have 7 days break for withdrawal bleeding, and in the second only 4. Both one scheme and the other are two-component tablets, that is, they contain progesterone and estrogen. The use of the 24+4 system is relatively recent (previously there was only a 21+7 scheme that was supposed to mimic a woman's natural cycle). Women praise this pattern mainly because a shorter break in taking hormones, i.e. 4 instead of 7 days, eliminates the unpleasant symptoms that may accompany bleeding (reducing the intensity of bleeding, reducing the amount of blood lost and reducing spotting between cycles). There are indications that the 24+4 system is more effective, but this does not make a significant difference at the moment. The choice of contraceptive should be tailored individually to the patient, so it is with him that you should talk and decide which preparation will be the best.
