Should I stop Ozempić before the procedure under anesthesia?

On Thursday I have a minor surgery planned under anesthesia. I am currently taking Metformax 500 and Ozempic 0.5mg. I read that Metformax should be discontinued 48 hours before the procedure. What about Ozempic? Since I take it once a week

In such a situation, you should necessarily inform the doctor who qualifies you for the procedure about what drugs and supplements you are currently and in recent days. In the case of Ozempic (containing semaglutide), the active substance may remain in your blood for about 5 weeks after the last dose. The final decision to administer anesthesia is made by the doctor, but he should have all the information about the medicines you use and their dosage, so you should inform him about the current situation before the procedure.
