Can the low FODMAP diet be started only a week after the end of antibiotic use?

Sibo constipation form. Can the fodmap diet not be started until a week after the end of antibiotic use? I am currently abroad and I do not have the opportunity to keep the diet at 100%.

There is no specific deadline for starting the low FODMAP diet. Taking an antibiotic is not a dietary restriction. First of all, it is worth contacting the attending physician or a nutritionist and thoroughly discuss this situation. The gdziepolek.pl service also allows you to obtain a teleconsultation with the appropriate speckalist: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja/z-dietetykiem The elimination phase, i.e. the first part of the diet, should last from 2 to 8 weeks. If in the first days you do not have the opportunity to stick to the diet, you can extend it at a later time. After 4 weeks, new products can be introduced gradually. I also encourage you to read the information on the website of the Ministry of Health: https://pacjent.gov.pl/diety/low-fodmap-dieta-w-jelicie-nadwrazliwym
