Does the presence of bacteria in the urine mean that Furagina does not work?

I have been taking furagine for 2 weeks, and yesterday in the general urine test there were nitrites and individual bacteria, besides some mucus. Does this mean that furagin does not act on this bacterium? He still feels the symptoms to some extent. Urine has a strange smell.

Furagina is not always effective against all bacteria that cause urinary tract infection. You may need to use an antibiotic or other medication in your case, we can't rule it out. The more so because bacteria in the urine may indicate the duration of the infection. If you are concerned about your health, you should go to the attending physician together with the test results and consult them. The more that you feel the symptoms and do not see improvement in health after 2 weeks of using the drug. If you are not able to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation via our portal: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja The article that may interest you is: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/zakazenie-drog-moczowych https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-przygotowac-sie-do-badania-moczu Regardless of the prescription preparations used, you should still remember to consume plenty of fluids (preferably acidic juices) that will act as an adjunct, as well as avoid factors conducive to re-infection (swimming in a pool or uncertain bathing areas, intercourse, use of someone else's towels, etc.) until complete recovery.
