If there are no symptoms, the general urine test is good, and the culture did not show an increase in bacteria, this indicates the absence of urinary tract infections. However, in the presence of complaints, the results obtained should be carefully considered. Some bacteria are difficult to grow or do not grow on traditional nutrient media. In general, however, there are other signs that a urinary tract infection has occurred, e.g. leukocyturia. In diagnostically doubtful cases, the doctor may order further tests.
