Manufacturers, as a rule, indicate the ranges of doses that can be used for a specific disease and in the case of doses proposed by doctors, both fall within the range for a child weighing 22 kg. The discrepancy may result from the individual assessment of the doctor of the severity of the disease. If you are not sure what dose you should give your child, contact your doctor again. If you do not have such a possibility, I encourage you to arrange online advice through GdziePoLek: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja/ The dose ranges to which I refer are for streptococcal throat infections (scarlet fever is also a streptococcal infection) - however, I have not been able to find clear guidelines for the administration of amoxicillin in scarlet fever alone. This is due to the fact that it is not a first-line drug in this disease.
