Is bleeding 5 days after taking Escapelle a menstrual or an adverse reaction of the medicine?

Hello, on the 12th day of the cycle (cycles 29-30 days) I took an escapelle tablet. After 5 days after taking the tablet, profuse bleeding appeared. I will add that 2 days after taking the pill I went to the doctor who conducted an ultrasound and said that ovulation has not yet occurred. Is the bleeding that has occurred menstruation or is it bleeding resulting from side effects?

You have most likely experienced bleeding from Escapelle. However, it is not possible to distinguish between bleeding which is an undesirable effect and possible menstrual bleeding. After using Escapelle, menstrual bleeding is usually normal and starts on the same day as usual, but it can occur a few days later or earlier, so be watched. In your case (based on what you wrote) on the 17th day of the cycle there was bleeding, so it is theoretically too fast for menstrual bleeding. Nevertheless, we cannot rule it out 100%. More than 1 in 10 patients report bleeding a few days after taking Escapelle.
